This is my contents page, i chose the blue background because of the firework theme, this is one of the firework colours. The preview of the front cover lets the reader know what's on it.

Sophie's double page spread

This is my DPS. I chose the colour green because it can mean good will. I chose the image because i it fits in with the attitude of 'were back, and nothing will get in our way!'.

Amy's double page spread

This is my DPS i used the negative to resemble the break up of the band, however i used the bright colour to show that there is a new beginning and that its all okay now. Also the green used was to keep the halloween theme used but it also shows envy, this is because the band had broken up.

Amy's contents page

This is my contents page, i chose the colours because they where popular in the survey we did earlier, they also go with the theme of halloween as gothic and spooky colours. i chose the main picture because it relates to the DPS, i also used the other picture because the contents mentions a lot of gigs and things related to them. it will also relate to the 'ghoul fest' as it is also another gig. the lighting of it also goes well with the colour scheme of the writing. The bat was also used as a theme of halloween. The colour yellow i used was to make the heading's to stand out to grab the readers attention.

This is my front cover. It will include a competition puff. The three posters are previewed at the bottom of the page, in a block of colour, with the bar code, date and price of the magazine.

Amy's front cover

This is my front cover. I chose to make the background colour this dark blue because it resembles a midnight sky, this is also why the moon was used. We decided to use the red text because of our survey results. We kept the magazine simple because it is what we found people proffered. I put the little pumpkin in to make the cover look more like a halloween special.

This is the layout for my Contents page. It will be simple, with a preview picture of the posters at the bottom, a smaller image of the front cover near the top, and an image of the cover story band.The page numbers will be listed with what is on each - excluding the poster pages. There will be three fonts on the page, one for the main title "contents", one for the page headings, and one for what is on each page. The colour scheme will be the same as the front cover, black, red, blue and yellow. The colour scheme will follow through to the double page spread as well.

This is my issue of our magazine. It is for Bonfire night, so it will have a dark background, with fireworks behind an MCU of The Friday Fall - who will be the main story line for the issue. The story is about how they got back together, their latest album, and their upcoming tour around the UK. The colour scheme will be Black, red, blue, and yellow. this is because the most favourite colour scheme chosen by the people who did our questionnaire  was black and red, but we have decided to put the extra colours in to link in with firework colours. There will also be poster previews on the front cover. These will be one of Juno, one of Abbie, and one of both of them. The compitition mentioned on the cove is for two tickets to the bonfire night gig at 10pm at Hollow street, in the park.

Selection and Rejection of pictures.

we have decided not to use this picture for the halloween special. This is because the bat is supposed to be at an angle, not facing the camera straight on.
















Amy and I have chosen not to use this photo, this is because the picture is a little on the dim side.

We have chosen not to use this photo. this is because the lighting is all wrong, and the shadow looks weird in my eyes.

 we have decided to use this picture for our front cover, this is because the lighting and angle of the picture is what we are looking for. it is also perfect for our front cover picture.

we have decided to use this picture, this is because there is a plain background which we can easy manipulate to use for our magazine. the angle also fits the attitude we are trying to get across for the band.

we have decided to use this picture in the magazine, this is because we think that it would be perfect for the situation of the story line in our magazines.

 in the magazine we would like to use this picture but we will have to edit it in some ways as it is a little blurry, and there is also some things in the background, that we would have to get rid of.

unfortunately this will not be used in the magazine, we would have liked to have it in but as the picture is blurry we can not accept it in the magazine.
















we are going to se this picture as a poster for the halloween special. this this because it is something that you can picture as a poster in a magazine. however, we do need to edit the background  and take out everything, we can then add another background specially for the halloween special.

this will also be used in our magazine as a poster as it fits the halloween genre as well has the main band that is featured in the magazine.

 we are going to use this for our double page spread  for the main story, it gives us the cheekiness of the band members and that they are up for a laugh and are not serous all the time even though there is trouble with the rest of the band.

we are not going to use this one as it is slightly blurry and the angle is not what we need for the magazine.

 we are going to use this one for  the content's page for the november issue. the picture fits with the situation of the magazine interview.
















we are going to use this as a double page spread for the november issue as there is a plain background and the image can also be used because it fits the story line.

we are going to use this for the front cover as it show's the seriousness of the main magazine cover story. its also shows the lead guitarist to show they are part of the band.

we are going to use this as a poster this is because its cheeky and also you can picture it as a poster in a magazine.

This will be used as one side of the huge poster included in the magazine. This is because you can imagine it being on a wall, it also looks like a poster picture too.











This will be used as the other side of the huge poster. The photo will be edited so that there re Zombies are in the background, so it looks like Amy has just swung for one of them.

This image will be used in the double page spread. This is because it fits in with the emotion of the storyline.

This image will used in the contents page, because it fits in with the theme of Halloween, and it shows Amy's personality well.
